WaveOn Health was able to provide injury prevention and support to Team Suffolk CAC, a group of runners from Suffolk County's Children's Advocacy Center, who were training for and running the 128th Boston Marathon.
The money raised through Team Suffolk CAC efforts will help sustain the Children's Advocacy Center of Suffolk County's critical services for children under 18 who have experienced sexual abuse, physical abuse, or commercial sexual exploitation.
The CAC provides comprehensive assessment, support, advocacy, and evidence-based interventions to promote healing, justice, and well-being for children exposed to violence and their families. You can learn more about the CAC here.
With WaveOn's support, each member of the group was able to complete their training and finish all of the 26.2 miles of the Boston Marathon.
Nicole Bresnahan, Development Coordinator at Suffolk County Children's Advocacy Center said, "We are deeply appreciative of your help and hope to continue the same arrangement for the 2025 Boston Marathon team."
If you have a group training and participating in a fundraising event, contact WaveOn Health to learn how they can assist in injury prevention measures and injury management to help your group reach their goal.
